Zoning Board of Appeals Hearings

On Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 5:00 pm the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) will hold hearings for two requested Zoning Variances: The Family Dollar Store is requesting two new signs larger than allowed and the owner of 240 East Huron street is request a 7 foot setback variance. 

The ZBA is the final decision maker, except for the Courts, regarding City zoning rules.  Any propery owner may request a hearing to review a zoning issue.  The public is welcome to express their comments.

Cabin Fever Car show

Come out to the "Cabin Fever Car Show," on Saturday, May 21, 2011.   The Nauti-Cruisers Car Club along with the International Sports Bar are sponsoring the event.   This year the show will be on Huron Avenue between Third and Second Streets to provide more room for show cars. 

The show starts at 10:00 am and runs until 3:30 pm.  This is the fourth show, and it promises to be the best yet!

Police Department Open House for Officer Bielas

The Police Department will host an Open House to Celebrate the retirement of Officer Ken Bielas.  The event will begin at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at City Hall.

The 40 Mile Point Lighthouse Art & Craft Show is coming!

Where:  40 Mile Point Lighthouse located in Lighthouse Park,

U.S. 23 - 7 miles north of Rogers City, Michigan

When: Saturday & Sunday May 28 and 29, 2011

Time: 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. each day.

The show and lighthouse park are open to the public free of charge.
