Light Up the City

Light Up the City is November 23, 2011

 A parade through the downtown begins at 5 p.m. and Santa lights the trees in Westminster Park at 6 p.m. The "Light Up the City" event is sponsored by the Optimist Club of Rogers City.  You may donate a lighted tree to the project with your personal message for $40.  This is a fund raiser for the Optimists as well as a great community attraction.  It's not too late to sponsor and decorate a tree! The "Parade of Lights" will start and the Water's Edge and go through downtown to Westminster Park.  If you want to participate, please call the Rogers City Area Chamber of Commerce.  Call 734-2535 for more info.

Light up the City

Please consider participation in our traditional "Light Up the City" Event.  This great event, sponsored by the Optimist Club and the Chamber of Commerce, will be even better this year.  Starting at 5:30 pm, the Chamber and City will sponsor a "Parade of Lights" from The Waters Edge Restuarant to Westminster Park, where the "Light Up the City" takes place.  You are welcome to join the "Parade of Lights"--please contact the Rogers City Area Chamber of Commerce for more information and to participate in the parade.

Light Up the City!

At 6:00 pm, Wednesday, November 26, 2008, please come out to Westminster Park and "Light Up the City!" This year promises to be the BEST EVER start of the Christmas season with RC's unique Optimist Club tree lighting of more than 150 specail Christmas trees all at once. Santa will be there and so will other special friends.

This year the Chamber of Commerce has made special arrangements to give away RC Home shopping dollars and refreshments at the Lighthouse Restaurant and many merchants will be open late.

A special treat--members of the Rogers City Band will play at both the Painted Lady Cafe and the Senior Center after the tree lighting ceremony.

Best of all 40 members of the Rogers City Band will provide a free concert at the Rogers City Theater, beginning at 8:00 pm.

So, if you want to get "in the mood" for the season, come on out and "Light Up the City."
