The Council on Aging, with volunteers from the AARP, will again offer free tax return and credit filing at the Posen Center beginning February 1st through the 24th. Appointments must be made with Meg at 766-8191. These spots are available to seniors (60+ only). A day will be planned for the Onaway Center upon demand.
For those under 60 years of age, Onaway Federal Credit Union (in Rogers City and Onaway) will also file simple returns for FREE for those with incomes under $50,000 (simple meaning those that don't include a large business or farming, etc.) The contact person for the Onaway branch is Katie Jarvis 989-733-8557 and for Rogers City, the contact is Lori Lewandowski at 989-734-2772. They absolutely do not have to be a member to use this service! However, please call to make an appointment.
Thanks Katie Kuznicki for sending this important information.
